COVID-19 information for club night runs
The link sent on email to all members allows you to book onto the Eventbrite runs for each club night. This link should only be used by members as we are only covered for insurance purposes for members being on the runs. When booking a club night run please note the following:
Please book a group which matches the pace you want to run at - you will not be able to change your mind on the night and run in a different group so please ensure you are comfortable at this pace.
Please only book on one run, you cannot be in two places at the same time and this would tie up a space for someone else. Note that all runs will be for approximately an hour and the route will be decided by the run leader but will not be published beforehand.
Booking will be open when this email goes out and booking closes at 12 noon on the day of the run. The link will also be published on Strava at the same time so if you are not a member of the Prestwich AC Strava group please request to join.
Please do not bring any payment to the club run - If you are not a gold member and therefore would normally pay £1 for your club runs we will maintain a record of your club night runs and send you an invoice quarterly.
We are trying to allow as many people to be able to get to club runs as possible so if you cannot make a club run you have already booked onto please cancel your booking immediately when you know you can’t make it so others can book the place. If a runner is a no-show on 2 occasions they will not be allowed to book a club run for 2 weeks.
We appreciate that there may be high demand for club runs and so to be fair and give everyone the chance to run, the club will be monitoring attendance and may restrict the number of club nights that a runner can book onto if there is consistent high demand. If a club night run is full please add yourself to the waiting list as we do monitor drop-outs and then pass the place to the next person on the waitlist. The waitlist also lets us know which paces and terrains are popular and we can then allocate run leaders to that pace the following week.
Please ensure that you complete the COVID questionnaire attached to the event as we are required to maintain this information for the purpose of tracing participants, if the reply to any question is "No" then you should not be attending the run.
We know this is a lot of rules but it's what we are required to do to allow us to run together again - hopefully we all agree that the benefits of starting to get out as a club are worth a bit of hassle and planning at the moment.
