Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 2011 Race, and many thanks to all our volunteers who helped make the event possible. We had a record 308 finishers this year!

CHARITY
For the past 3 years Prestwich Athletic Club have donated monies raised via the Prestwich Challenge to the Child Development Centre at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, Manchester.
These monies have purchased equipment for children with specialist needs, such as specially adapted car seats, which provide safety and extra support, physiotherapy
equipment, safety equipment and toys. All these items help towards enhancing the daily lives of all the children involved.

In 2011 we will continue to support the Child Development Centre, and we welcome Camberwell Park School, a Primary School in Blackley for children with severe learning difficulties as a new beneficiary from the Challenge.
THE COURSE
The Prestwich Challenge starts and finishes at Sedgeley Park Rugby Club, and covers an area around Prestwich Clough, Drinkwater Park, Irwell Valley Sculpture Trail and Phillips Park.
