About Prestwich AC

Prestwich AC is a small running club established over 21 years ago. Based at Prestwich Tennis and Cricket Club we are a friendly relaxed bunch who usually run between 4-8 miles around the local area.

We get together every Monday night for a run at 7.00 pm. However fit or fast you are...everyone is welcome to join us!

There is also a social side to the club as well, so you can stay on for a drink after a run if you want (it’s thirsty work) and help organise THE PRESTWICH CHALLENGE and lots of social events too. 

 
Prestwich Cricket, Tennis and Bowling club is situated behind Heys Road. Access to the club house is via a lane next to Prestwich Metrolink station.

Normally there are about half a dozen of us out running on a Monday night, usually we go off road in the summer months but mainly on-road during the darker winter months, but we make sure that you are never running on your own!

The club also has changing and showering facilities. 

 Background  

Prestwich AC was founded by Rodger & Pamela Davies in 1988, together with friends, family and local volunteers. We have had many members over the years, but Rodger is still an active member and the leading light of the club.

The club has organised many races including the Prestwich 10k and Fun Runs and most famously the infamous Prestwich Challenge.

Our races have raised thousand of pounds over the years for local charities and good causes.

We would sincerely like to thank everyone involved with the club, past and present for their hardwork, dedication and loyal support.
